Is it safe to come out yet????

Is it finished?

Can I relax now?

Can I get back into my steady routine?

I must be turning into a right curmudgeon in my old age!

Or perhaps it is the hormones .... yes let's blame them although that said, I always enter into this period of not quite depression but gloominess at this time of year.  I love the lead up to the festive season with the decorations & pretty lights, watching the children in Christmas productions at school, visits to Santa etc etc but always get a deflated feeling after Boxing Day.

What is to be done??

Following a swift kick up the derriere I am going to start filling in my 2011 diary .... that's a start isn't it?

  1. I know what you mean ... it's like living in limbo with endless rubbish on TV and nowhere really to go to in the grey miserable weather.
    Roll on Spring!

  2. I know what you mean as well, just need a sunny day to get me motivated !

  3. Happy new year to you and yours.I hate that
deflated feeling too, yearning for brighter weather.

    Hugs Pat

  4. Oh what a great diary! I'm feeling a bit blah as well. So looking forward to some brighter weather. Shall we try and get together sometime soon once the routines are all back to normal?

  5. I love filling in my new diary, and yours looks like a super pretty one x

  6. Hi Carol, I know exactly what you mean, all my energy seems to drain away and everything is an effort, I don't really feel like my old self again until the end of February when spring things start to happen, it seems like I could do with a swift kick in the backside too.
    Love Jillx

  7. What a good idea, the best way to beat the blues is to 'do' something (but easier said than done). I can't wait to take down all the trimmings and let some fresh air into the house - but it is still a little too fresh to fling the windows open at the moment!

  8. I am with Jill, I DESPERATELY want to fill the house with fresh air............ Happy New Year, sorry it's a wee bit late to be wishing you it, but the lurgy struck!

  9. Love the diary!!! It's my Birthday on Friday, so not looking forward to becoming ** !!! But looking on the bright side I have a day off, and look forward to a day off somewhere!! (Weather permitting!)
A great 2011 to you hun, and look forward to meeting up at some time : )

    Sharon xx

  10. Oooh i love the diary!
Since the snow cleared im just praying for spring, i know its coming but its too slow for my liking, i just want to really be out in the fresh air, theres nothing sparkly inside to keep my attention!!
